Author’s Circle - An Evening of Insight & Inspiration

Are you an aspiring author? Have you ever thought about writing a book? Should you write a book? Do you know how to even begin? Wouldn’t it be nice if you could talk to another author and get the inside scoop?

This is at the heart of the Author’s Circle, which is really an open invitation to aspiring writers to learn from those who have successfully navigated the path from idea to published work.

Whether you are thinking about writing your own book or you are just curious to hear the story behind the story of some amazing works, this event is for you!

Enjoy a few hours with three local authors who will each present their book and share

  • The inspiration and motivation behind the book

  • The purpose of writing the book

  • How the book was written

  • How it was published

  • And how the published book has impacted the author and/or their business.

This will be an intimate and personal time of discovery with these authors. Conversation, questions, and discussion will be welcome!

Women to Women Network members and non-members are welcome to attend.

Inward and Beyond - Transformation is a conscious choice
Brenda Bryan

Walk with me through the pain, the revelation, and the transformation of choosing to grow Inward and Beyond. These 25 poems expose the unfolding lessons that required me to dig deep, take responsibility for my unconscious behaviors, and learn radical self-care. I knew the journey would be splendidly challenging but infinitely rewarding. I said ‘yes’ to the trek.

These poems and essays are tender to me. They are messages from the Spirit to support my healing. My greater work is to be part of healing relationships. And by so doing, we heal our society and heal our planet. People possess a deep creative magic, and we never know how that magic will change us.

What I want now is for this book to reach hearts, to inspire a voice that encourages others to listen to the magic in their life and to have the guts to act on it and to listen and follow what Spirit wants to be expressed through you. Everyone has this magic within them; everyone has a creative force wanting to be articulated. Only you can follow that nudge; only you can know what passion is waiting to find its voice.

Heartlight
Amy Gigena

Heartlight is an allegory written in metaphors and symbolism. It is an enchanting story about believing and becoming, becoming and believing—and the lessons in between. The pages challenge the reader to discover within themselves if the journey of life is about finding true love or finding one’s truest self. A question we all must face. It will charm your heart forever as you weave through the beautifully illustrated pages. Each reader will take away a different message.  It can be a bittersweet love story of love found and love lost for some or a profound spiritual awakening about the journey to one’s self for others. The story of Heartlight is about finding your life purpose and takes you on an epic quest for life’s meaning that is as eternal as the moon and stars. The message is told through a love story but is truly metaphorically a life story.

Since it was published, Heartlight has touched many readers of all ages and stages. It has received reviews from readers around the world. It won the 2017 Heart and Soul Book Award from Holl & Lane Magazine and One Idea Press. It has been used as the foundation of soul-touching workshops and inspirational speaking across the USA. Workshops are audience interactive and broken down into the 5 Truest You Challenges. They are presented in a format like walking the path of a labyrinth. The author uses costumes and props to illustrate the message. In addition, the ultimate meaning has been transformed into a clinical health history session that now serves as the premise of a 6-month healing program in the author's medical clinics. The pages are lovingly illustrated by the author’s late mother. Each was hand-drawn on a shadow light box. It was also written in a dyslexia-friendly open-source font, OpenDyslexic, as a nod to her three dyslexic daughters
